Our
Story

A Space to Breathe Inc. helps support individual growth and development within the yogic values of Honesty, Integrity and Service to others.  Carved out of the Sudbury Ontario region, our united mission is to offer sustainable wellness practices that are rich in culture and diversity, designed to help you achieve your personal best both on and off the mat.  We do this by leading you in mindful techniques, movement based practices, educational workshops, group offerings, therapeutic yoga, and  special events.

Sherry Mayer

Founder/Owner/Instructor

Sherry has been working with clients within personal development for more than a decade and merges her learnings in both yoga and social work, within a human centered approach.  Her teachings focus on personal empowerment, mindful movement and present moment awareness.  She offers a variety of practical techniques that helps to foster resiliency, build physical and mental strength, increase self awareness and awaken the true self. ​

Sherry is an experienced yoga teacher with an E-200 hour, CYA and is currently immersed in a two year, 800 hour intensive training in Yoga Therapy; a certified training with the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She is passionate about the development, progression and sustainability of both Eastern and Western  mind-body practices, in Northeastern Ontario.

Jaimie Jacklin

Creative Director

After graduating from Cambrian College in 2019, Jaimie entered the wonderful world of finance. After working for well-established wealth management firms in the Sudbury area, she now manages her own book of business and has earned a number of professional licenses and designations along the way. 

Here at Breathe, Jaimie is in charge of the advertising and marketing of the studio, from creating content and monitoring brand campaigns to  overseeing the entire creative direction.

Madison Moxam

Studio Manager/Instructor

Madison is a lifelong Sudburian. She is a second-year Psychology BA student with a minor in Indigenous Studies at Laurentian University. She hopes to pursue a career as a Psychologist and assist people in their personal growth. Madison has been practicing yoga for over three years and continues to deepen her practice through her involvement as an Energy Exchanger volunteer. Madison has completed her 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training at the Universal School of Yoga-YA in 2021.

Echo Dawn

Instructor

Echo Dawn has lived in Sudbury for most of her life. She began practicing yoga 6 years ago and completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2018 while she travelled around the Eastern World. She took a break from teaching to focus on her family and is now excited to get back into the studio.

Echo is an artist, a new mother, and an entrepreneur. She owns and operates Osadhi Juice--a local cold pressed juice company. She finds inspiration and clarity from being in nature, making connections with others, and creating art. She is passionate about yoga, meditation, breath work, and the transformation that can happen when you give yourself the space to express and tune into the body.

Chloe O'Toole

Instructor

Chloe O'Toole was born and raised in Sudbury Ontario. She works as an Early Childhood Educator, and is passionate about her work with children. She's a dedicated yoga practitioner of twelve years, with a 200-HR certification and currently enrolled in a life long study of Kundalini Yoga. Chloe is excited to share her passion for teaching with the Breathe team!

Roxane Anglehart

Instructor

Roxane has lived in Sudbury most of her life. She fell in love with yoga 5 years ago when she discovered the magical healing power the practice has on the layers of the self.  

Roxane has been volunteering as an Energy Exchanger at A Space to Breathe since December 2021.  She is currently completing her first 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training with Integrated Transformation School of Yoga, and is registered at Two Souls Yoga for further training in the fall of 2022.

 

Roxane has a professional background in nursing and mental wellness. She aspires to live the yoga life on and off her mat, and is motivated to empower others with the potential of yoga.

Sarah Blondin

Instructor

Sarah received her 200 HR Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in 2015 in Ottawa and has been teaching on and off ever since. Sharing a space with others to laugh, move, and inspire is something she finds passion in.

Sarah is all about comfort! Comfort movies, snacks, clothes, and of course, comfort in the body! Sarah's goal is for you to feel welcomed in any class with a variety of options when it comes to each movement to best serve your own personal growth and practice.
